OUR STAFF

JERRY UPP, DVM

Dr. Upp is a 1990 graduate of Ohio State University. He practices with emphasis in small animals and exotic medicine and orthopedic surgery. In addition to providing veterinary care locally, He has been deployed to an avian influenza outbreak in Virginia and was deployed to help during Hurricane Katrina. In addition to their beloved golden retriever, Bailey, Dr. Upp and wife, Stephanie have three children.

LINDA BOURLIER, LVT

Linda has been a part of the Midtown staff since 2005. She attended tech school at Eastern Wyoming College with the graduating class of 2005 and is a member of the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA). Linda and husband, Eric, have been married since 2013 and have two beautiful children. Her fur children include; three dogs (Duke, Ice and Bandit), and a turtle (Jade). Her hobbies include exercising, camping and spending time with family.

CATILIN REIN, LVT

Caitlin has been an employee of the Midtown staff since 2006. She worked as kennel staff while attending tech school at Eastern Wyoming College with the graduating class of 2010 and is a member of the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA). Caitlin has two fur children; a German Shorthaired Pointer (Jack) and a cat (Dylan). Her hobbies include hunting, dance, traveling, and wilderness things.

STEPHANIE MARRILL, RECEPTION

Stephanie has been an employee of the Midtown staff since 2016. Stephanie and husband, Gene, have one wonderful son (Jaxson). She is also a licensed cosmetologist, receiving her degree in 2008. Her hobbies include ; spending time with family, fishing, and gardening.

KAREN THRASHER, OFFICE

Karen has been an employee of the Midtown staff since 2015. Karen and husband, Steve, have three wonderful children and three grandchildren along with four fur children: cats (Pretty Girl, Rosie, Buddy and Tuxedo). Her hobbies include; spending time with family, being dorm granny for WNCC kids and fishing.

KENNEL STAFF SERVICES

Midtown Animal Hospital also employs two kennel staff to provide the best care while your pet comes to board with us. We have an open door kennel policy and would be more than happy to give you a tour of our boarding facility to see where your pet will be staying during your time away.

ASHLEY DIERKS, DVM

Dr. Ashley grew up on a farm in northeast Nebraska. She went to undergrad at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she majored in animal science and minored in chemistry. Dr. Ashley then attended veterinary school at Iowa State University and graduated in the spring of 2021. Dr. Ashley and her husband, Dr. Brady, were classmates in veterinary school and are now co-workers at Midtown Animal Hospital. Dr. Ashley is involved in the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association. They have two huskies, Aspen and Willow, that are full of energy! In Dr. Ashley’s free time, she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family.

BRADY DIERKS, DVM

Dr. Brady Dierks is a 2021 graduate of Iowa State University. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in animal science and a minor in chemistry. Dr. Dierks’ current involvements include the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association. When Dr. Dierks is not at work he enjoys being outdoors hunting, fishing, or working on his family’s ranch.
